• High school diploma or equivalent required. • One year of experience working in mental and/or behavioral health services required. • Previous Direct Support Professional (DSP) experience preferred. • Computer literate with knowledge of databased programs and Microsoft Suite. • Able to lift a minimum of 40 pounds without restrictions. • Must have a valid driver's license and personal auto insurance as required by the State of Iowa and be insurable under the company's insurance. • Must have reliable transportation. • Must have access to a telephone. • Must be able to obtain CPR/First Aide Certification within the initial 30 days of employment, and actively maintain certification throughout employment. • Successfully complete and pass all required competency-based training requirements within the allowed timeframe and on-going training as due each time.
Intensive Residential Services serves adults with mental health, behavioral health, intellectual disabilities or co-occurring conditions. This is a short-term, intensive rehabilitation service provided within the client's home. The goal of the service is to help individuals stabilize by assisting with medication compliance, appointment compliance, comprehension, crisis planning, behavior modification, and skill building so they can successfully reintegrate back into the community of their choice.
