Earn Recertification Credits and Visit Disticntive Work Locations
Educators in the Workplace is a unique workshop, offered through a collaboration between local economic development professionals and Indian Hills Community College and provides educators with tools to assure that K-12 students are being informed of the essential knowledge and skills, in addition to guidance in preparing them for the workplacew of today and tomorrow. Participants (teachers, administrators, counselors, etc.) will gain exposure to diverse workplace in the region, meet industry leaders, and develop an understanding of current and future workforce trends and necessary job-seeking skills.
Participants will experience four days of tours and presentations at area business and industiry locations in fields like technology, construction, hospitality, manufacturing, healthcare, and non-profit/community service, focusing on content that meets the needs and capacity of a changing forkforce.
