Strong communities are built through strong partnerships.

Yesterday, Greater Ottumwa Partners in Progress was proud to co-host an Employer Listening Session with representatives from Iowa Workforce Development and IowaWORKS, bringing together many of our region's major employers for an open conversation about workforce challenges, opportunities, and the future of Southeast Iowa.

A special thank you to Georgia VanGundy, Kathy Anderson, Maria Morales, and Brenda Noe for taking the time to hear directly from our employers and engage in meaningful discussion. We also appreciate Indian Hills Community College for graciously providing the meeting space on their campus.

Following the roundtable, Kris Patrick, Executive Director of Main Street Ottumwa, led the group on a walking tour of Downtown Ottumwa to showcase the continued momentum, investment, and exciting developments happening in the heart of our community.

Thank you to everyone who participated. When employers, workforce leaders, educational partners, and community organizations come together, we build stronger connections and a stronger future for Southeast Iowa. 🤝
